I grew up in Derbyshire but now live on the south coast of England with my amazing husband Stuart and our four rescue cats, Monty, Leia, Scooby and Dill. I have been dabbling with various crafts for the past 30 years and my favourite pastimes are card making, crochet and sewing. My Mum taught me to sew when I was a kid and I’ve made many things including clothes, soft furnishings and quilts. I started card making about 15 years ago and the range of stamping products has grown enormously in that time, which is great fun. My good friend Lorie taught me to crochet about 6 years ago and I absolutely love it! Crochet is so versatile and I really like that you only have to keep track of one stitch, unlike knitting where I frequently had a different number of stitches at the end of the row to the start! I have to add that I love buying craft supplies too – that’s another hobby in itself!!
When I’m not crafting or working as an air traffic controller (to fund my craft habit!), I also enjoy gardening, especially growing vegetables, and playing keyboard instruments.
